John Sepulvado is a former U.S. public radio journalist, a seasoned writer and communicator with specific expertise in political, environmental and social justice issues.
John grew up in Lemon Grove, California. His first organizing experience was in Austin, Texas where he helped organize protests against the Iraq War. Afterwards, John attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. He volunteered for progressive groups working to improve the environment and promote social justice in the Deep South.
Before joining the firm in October of 2019, John worked as a journalist in California, the South, and Europe. Most recently, John hosted KQED’s The California Report. Under his tenure, the show exhaustively covered environmental, social justice, and political stories including the child separation crisis at the southern U.S. Border. John also worked at CNN as a National Correspondent, where he reported on dirty coal plants, climate-change denying politicians, and the BP Oil Spill.
