We help California lead.

For the past 20 years, Better World Group Advisors (Better World Group) has been behind some of the nation’s boldest climate policies and environmental strategies.

In coalition with leading environmental, environmental health, labor and business groups we helped California enact the first greenhouse gas standards for vehicles; developed the first Renewable Portfolio Standard for electricity; and set the first CO2 standards with AB32 – the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Today, California is boasting more clean transportation than any other state.

Locally in Los Angeles, we have played a role in passing key ballot measures. From extensive outreach efforts to pass Proposition O – a stormwater measure which authorized the city of Los Angeles to fund projects that prevent and remove pollutants from our regional waterways and ocean – to helping pass the statewide plastic bag ban.

We believe in a Better World.

In 2018, our founder Wendy James passed the torch onto Cecilia Estolano.

Building on Wendy’s legacy, we continue our work to heal the planet, protect communities, and build a free and just democracy for all. We excel at building bridges across communities, finding common ground even on the most challenging issues facing our environment, our workplaces and our economy. We work to elevate the voices of those who have been unheard, and empower the people and places where investments are most needed.

Our clients are visionary.

We work across all sectors to come up with bold, transformative strategies that address complex problems. Our clients turn to us for our ability to convene diverse stakeholders and build consensus towards a common goal.

We have the expertise.

We are deep thinkers, constant learners, and creative strategists. Our expertise includes air quality, advanced transportation, livable communities, public lands, environmental justice, faith organizing, oceans, water, and clean transportation.
