Amelie is an advocate and policy professional dedicated to building accessible solutions through community engagement and research.
At Better World Group, Amelie supports projects focused on advancing clean transit, battery energy storage, and community facilitation.
Prior to joining Better World Group, Amelie worked with UCLA’s Local Government and Communications office to champion advocacy efforts for an equitable and accessible Sepulveda Corridor Transit (STC) project. There, she managed and expanded the STC4All Coalition, pioneered a student advocacy program, and developed resources for the Coalition’s digital presence.
Amelie completed the University of California Washington Program (UCDC) as a Federal Affairs and National Engagement Intern for the LA Mayor’s Office. During her time in DC, she coordinated a mayoral lobby visit across 18 different states and tracked policy around housing and homelessness. Following this experience, Amelie led outreach and marketing strategies as a Policy Fellow with the City of Los Angeles’ Civil Rights Department, including the department’s upward mobility programs and citywide campaigns such as LA is for Everyone and Just Say Hello. She also supported research for the Reparations Advisory Commission dedicated to advancing racial justice.
Amelie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and a minor in Geography from UCLA. She was a research scholar with the UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge and a member of Senator Laphonza Butler’s Youth Leadership Academy.
